As the only sand-based TAB track in South Australia, Port Augusta thoroughbred racing offers patrons a unique and exciting race day experience.
The Port Augusta Race Club is located only 5 minutes from the CBD and 30 minutes from the popular Flinders Ranges.
If you haven't been to the races for a while, now is the time to plan for this year's major social event, as the course has been transformed with new viewing areas perfect for catching up with friends, great for social distancing, alongside lush lawn. Be a part of racing at Port Augusta in 2021!.
The Pastoral Hotel Saloon will offer punters the ideal place for all the up-to-date racing information, a cold drink and the best seat to watch live racing with all your favourites from the Track Cafe.
The club boasts exceptional on course televised racing, bookmakers, tote and racing hospitality at its finest, you won’t want to miss a great day trackside.
It is most important we abide by the Covid Safe protocols in place. All staff and patrons must sign in for contact tracing purposes before you enter the course.
You must not attend the event if you are unwell or if you have arrived from a specific Level 3 location outlined in the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel) (COVID-19) Direction 2021.
You must keep 1.5 meters distance from other people attending the event, wherever possible. You must not enter a room that is at capacity. Please be aware of floor markers to assist with social distancing. Please be aware of the enter and exit signs to all areas, to assist with social distancing. Let us all do our best to keep our community safe.

CUP EVE DINNER
Festivities begin with the Cup Eve Dinner on Saturday 3rd of July, an entertaining evening with racing stories from a past era.
The club is excited to host the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour, with The Peoples Cup taking center stage, while we are entertained by Joe Agresta; trackwork rider for Bart Cummings for over thirty years.
The Friends of the Port Augusta Racing Club will provide an evening of great entertainment including raffles and an Auction with items generously donated by our sponsors. Funds raised on the night support the PA Racing Club.
