The historic Jamestown Cup is on Saturday 30 September and is the ideal way to start the October Long Weekend. A massive day of racing is planned with plenty of fun and action off the track too, set amongst the beautiful mid-north of South Australia.
Jamestown sits 220 kilometres north of Adelaide surrounded by idyllic farmland, with a thriving local community. The racing is expected to be exciting and closely contested, with a six-race card including the Jamestown Cup which will be battled out over 1800 meters. The 1800m feature race of the day will give punters the opportunity to see the horses thunder down the home straight before completing a full lap of the track. The nature of the track allows for great viewing even when the racing action is on the far side of the track.
Off the track there is plenty to enjoy throughout the day. There will be hotly contested Fashion at the Races with multiple categories up for grabs. The Fashions kick off after Race 3 and continue over the course of the day.
