Allusion chasing Mindarie-Halidon success

In-form Oakbank galloper Allusion will chase a third win in succession in Sunday’s $40,000 Mindarie-Halidon Cup (1800m).

The Claudette Rose-trained eight-year-old was an impressive Gawler winner two starts back before repeating that effort at Murray Bridge last time out.

Rose has booked gun apprentice Rochelle Milnes for the ride with the pair perfectly drawn in barrier five.

It’s one of the strongest editions of the feature with two last-start Morphettville winners Flight Deck and Vino Decasa Nostra engaged while Sairyn Fawke will partner the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained Kalamon who will be trying to better his second placing behind Magical Ride in last year’s feature.
