Morphettville trainer Jon O’Connor goes in with two leading chances on the rescheduled TAB Finals Day at Morphettville on Wednesday.
Three-year-old Rockstar Meggsy has won two of her past three starts heading into the $102,500 Rebel Raider Series Final (1200m) while talented mare Smokin’ Val takes on the $102,500 Riziz Series Final over the 1100m trip.
“Both horses are good chances,’’ O’Connor said.
“Smokin’ Val looks ready to win.
“If anything being narrowly beaten last start might be a blessing, she gets into the final well at the weights especially after the claim.
“And this is the first time for a while she’s drawn a good gate,’’ he said.
