The Victorian wet weather has only enhanced the chances of in-form South Australian Not Usual Glorious in Friday’s $150,000 Moe Cup (1600m).
The Travis Doudle-trained galloper boasts five wins from his seven starts on a heavy surface and heads to Moe on the back of an impressive Benalla Cup win firming from $2.40 into $2.25 with tab.com.au.
“It looks like he’s going to get the conditions he wants,’’ Doudle said.
“We don’t want much more rain and meeting to be in jeopardy, but all is well with the horse.
“He’s been ticking along nicely since Benalla and hopefully things fall his way again,’’ he said.
Neil Farley again rides, unbeaten aboard the horse after guiding him to his Benalla win and combining to win the Apsley Cup at Casterton back in June.
