A country community will always be on hand with their support, and the community of Quorn did just that for the 2022 Quorn Cup.
The annual event saw a great crowd turn out to enjoy the six race card, race day hospitality and the opportunity to catch up with friends and family. We even had two visitors from over 15,000 away, with a Swiss couple taking in all that Quorn had to offer during their trip across Australia.
Quorn Racing Club Secretary, Phil Coulthard was happy to make it through the day.
"During the week we had a lot of rain, and it didn't look promising," Coulthard said.
"Aside from a couple of small showers early in the day, the sun come out and meant we were all able to enjoy our day.
"We had great support from all of our sponsors, and we can't thank everyone who attended the day. Everyone seemed to have a great time," he said.
The day also provided the Quorn Racing Club the opportunity to celebrate the contribution from long time committee member and volunteer, Fred Grose who received life membership to the club.
Club President, Cleyton Finlay was very complimentary of the amazing contirbution from Fred.
"Fred has held many roles across the club in his time, and he has always been someone who will go above and beyond for the Quorn Racing Club," Finlay said.
Matching the burnt red track in a stand out, Asheligh Searer wore a flowing red dress matched with gold accessories to ensure she caught the attention of the Fashion At The Races in a strong field of entrants.
