Clare Valley Racing Club continues to support local groups

The 2021/2022 Thoroughbred Racing Season has proved to be a steady year for the Clare Valley Racing Club. Club Chairman, Don Williams paid tribute to the work of the committee which saw a number of new members take office in 2021 whom stepped up quickly for the club.

The three race meets all provided good quality racing, and earned the club good feedback from Country Racing SA, Racing SA and owners and trainers alike. Track Manager, Dave Meaney whom has been the chief care giver to the clubs primary asset for over 15 years admits he was aided by good weather in 2021/22 which will give him a great head start in preparation for the coming year.

Attendances were good as pandemic restrictions slowly evolved and provide optimism for growing attendances in the coming years.

The committee was well served and is very grateful for the assistance of a number of local community groups in its operations.

These clubs generated income through donation or sales exceeding $20,000.00 for the year to assist their endeavours or activities in the community.
