RACE 1 - 12:12PM Adelaide Racing Carnival April 30th to May 21st Handicap (Heat 2 SA Sprint Series) (1200 METRES)
CALYPSO REIGN is a nice horse who hasn’t raced since chasing home Scorched Earth at Caulfield in January. He was runner-up behind Outlaws Revenge in the Xmas Hcp at his previous run and has never missed a placed first-up. He looked sharp in a recent jump out and is the one to beat. POINT BLAZE was very good when 4th behind Ironclad in the Matrice Stakes and then OK at Moonee Valley last time. She draws a tricky gate but should run well. LIANNE was flying for the Jordan Frew stable and made good ground when 3rd behind Legionnaire before being freshened. LEFT HAND MAN has a handy record and should get a nice run from the gate.

RACE 2 - 12:47PM Thomas Farms Handicap (2032 METRES)
Victorian MARK OF THE MAN brings some good Victorian form here, his Colac and Ararat runs were good before he was specked on the market behind Glassey Miss at Flemington in the County Mile last time. MORTY has the right form for a race like this beating Sanblas two starts back before a solid effort at Moonee Valley last time. PRINCE OF FENCES was good behind Sanblas at his past two, he has upside, draws a nice barrier and has been solid in early betting. LORD BOUZERON has been good in two runs back from a spell and draws to get a nice run here. DOES IT has an OK record and stuck on well behind Briabella last time. ALL HARD WOOD was good behind Comfort Girl two starts back before being plain last run.

RACE 3 - 1:22PM The Junction Handicap (1050 METRES)
Good race. ELITE ICON has won two of four and comes off a smart Moonee Valley win. He draws the inside and looks the horse to beat. MAGIC MAX was impressive first-up from a spell behind Barbaline. He is a nice horse and gets in well after the claim. LIBIAMO is a former Victorian now with Will Clarken. She was tried in good 3yo company last season and has been jumping out well for this. VALUABLE WITNESS resumes and was too good for Harpuna at Murray Bridge before a spell. He’s progressive. DARING MOVE has won two of three but draws wide while stablemate RODEO ran well at Moonee Valley two starts back and is a winner fresh.

RACE 4 - 1:57PM Happy 60th CP Handicap (1600 METRES)
Looks an open race on paper. I’m going with RUDHYAR who is a lightly-raced import and won three straight last time in work. He draws a good barrier and looks very well placed here first-up by the Lindsay Smith stable. HE’S EXCLUSIVE was a good winner two starts back beating Think Winning and then was only reeled in late by Impossible Action last time. He’ll get a nice run from the good gate. CROWN MINT was unlucky first-up from a spell and then OK last time. He draws a sticky barrier but looks well over the odds. IMPOSSIBLE ACTION returned to form beating He’s Exclusive last time and has a good record if he can get some luck from a sticky barrier. TONGSAI BOSS finished 3rd in the same race and should go well. FULTON STREET was good behind Aiguilette last time. DANON ROMAN was well beaten first-up with a big weight and can improve.

RACE 5 - 2:37PM Dequetteville Stakes (1050 METRES)
BISTRO was impressive leading throughout to beat Runaway Belle here in the Cinderella Stakes on Adelaide Cup Day. She draws OK and looks the clear top pick again. AITCH TWO OH has been impressive leading throughout to win her two starts, she could find a trail here and be a danger late. WEE NESSY ran well on debut running 2nd behind Millane after getting well backed and should give this a shake. SEE YOU IN HEAVEN was impressive winning on debut at Flemington before being beaten first-up by Bistro. She looked plain on face value first-up and there is a question mark surrounding her form out of that Melbourne win. NAICONI has been solid running 2nd at both starts and get the blinkers for the first time here.

RACE 6 - 3:17PM M's Fabulous Birthday Handicap (Heat 2 Autumn Series) (1526 METRES)
Tricky start to the quaddie. PUDDING was impressive first-up from a spell beating Six Foot Song on the Parks. He draws an awkward barrier but looks progressive and should take beating. CAFÉ RIZU was good beating Eventually on the Parks last time and should give this a shake from a tricky barrier. UNLACED caught the eye two starts back before a good effort behind Smart Promise last week when she raced up on a solid speed. AMBIDAZZLE draws a nice barrier and has a good record. BIARCHI was OK behind Café Rizu last time and is better suited here on the bigger track.

RACE 7 - 3: 57PM Auraria Stakes (1800 METRES)
Great race. BON’S A PEARLA was placed in the Australian Guineas behind Hitotsu and then chased home Daises in the Alexandrina Stakes last time. The blinkers go off, she should be handy from the gate and is the horse to beat. MAC ‘N’ CHEESE is a very good filly who was impressive winning first-up from a tricky spot and then overcome a big bump in the straight to win well last time in the Clare Lindop Stakes. She draws a wide barrier and should take some beating again. MY WHISPER is a promising Frankel filly who made it three straight last start at Sandown. She draws poorly but is on the up and must be respected. THE MAP made good ground behind Mac ‘N’ Cheese last time and draws to get a nice run here. DARZELA has been good winning her past two back in class and looks a filly with plenty of upside, likewise GONNADANCEALOT has been progressing well back in class and must be respected. STRAY has been competitive in some strong races, SAVONIA is another who looks to have upside.

RACE 8 - 4:32PM Port Adelaide Guineas (1800 METRES)
Guided by placement here with the Price/Kent Jnr stable opting to run DAISIES against the boys and comes off a Group 3 win in the Alexandrina Stakes at Moonee Valley. She raced through the best fillies’ races in the spring and looks the horse to beat here down in the weights even from a sticky gate. HARLEYMOVEN is an exciting local who was good in the Guineas here before he covered ground and raced away from them to win easily last time. BLACKCOMB was heavily backed to run $1.75 fav here in the Hill Smith in the spring and was well beaten in the Vic Oaks before a break. She won well first-up at Pakenham and is worth some thought even from a wide gate. PALANI has been looking for the 1800m and she was good closing late at Flemington last time behind Umgawa. SHALAGA is progressive and comes off a Ballarat maiden win and gets the blinkers going on. RESIDUE was good behind Harleymoven last time.

STAR OF MANHATTAN was a winner on the Parks las year and resumed with a good effort when 2nd behind Hypersonic at Ballarat. She’s a winner second-up and looks well placed here despite a sticky barrier. THREE TEARS won well first-up at Mt Gambier and then was again solid behind Aston Rapova last time. She is another who draws a tricky barrier but should take some holding out. FLY ON BYE draws a nice gate and was a Benalla winner two starts back before an OK run at Moonee Valley before a break. He must be respected here. ASTON RAPOVA was good winning first-up from a spell, he gets some weight relief and must be respected again. ALL IN WAR maps to get a nice run here and she finished off OK behind Mr Metrics at Murray Bridge last time. MISS LANGTRY raced very well last time in work and draws to get a nice run.
