Lock Racing Club Cup - Recap

The Lock Racing Club are a true country racing club, but that did not stop locals and visitors alike supporting the Eyre Peninsula town.

It was a warm summer day for the 600 strong crowd, but that did not stop them from taking in the country hospitality from the shaded hill area trackside.

Lock Racing Club Secretary, Jacqui Wiseman was really pleased with how the day went.

"It was great to see the crowd turn out and support the club.

"There were great numbers on the track, which has been the best we've seen at the club for a number of years.

"We couldn't be happier with how well the crowd embraced the day with how warm it was," she said.

On their annual trip to the Eyre Peninsula from New South Wales, the Graham family attended the Lock Races with friends for the first time.

"We holiday on the Eyre Peninsula each year from New South Wales to meet friends.

"This is our first time attending the Lock Races, and something we will be marking on the calendar again," Trudy said.

Racing will return to Lock again next year, but keep up to date with all of the key information on the Lock Racing Club Facebook page.
