Eat and Drink Across Kangaroo Island

There is no doubting that Kangaroo Island a destination location and one of the most popular events on the Island, is the KI Racing Carnival which is hosted between February 17 - 19.

While there is more than enough to keep you occupied outside of the racing action, we thought we could take the guess work out of deciding on where to eat and drink across the carnival.

Dudley Wines

With breathtaking views from their cellar door deck, Dudley Wines offer a pizza and platter menu to enjoy whilst sipping on their award winning wines. If you're just looking to taste the selection of wines, you can kick back on the lawn or grab a golf club and try your hand at a hole-in-one!

The Enchanted Fig Tree

You'd be forgiven if you felt like you woke up with Alice In Wonderland when arriving at The Enchanted Fig Tree. Set in and around a 150 year fig tree, this ultimate dining experience is only offered during summer, so be sure to book in advance to ensure you can get a table.

Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery

A true Australian experience! Surrounded by gum trees and a rustic Australian bush landscape, Emu Ridge produces natural eucalyptus products. Along with this, you can sit back in the spacious indoor/outdoor cafe area to enjoy a meal from their modern Australian menu paired with local KI beer, wine, or spirits.

Millie Mae's Pantry

Located close to the Ferry Terminal in Penneshaw, you can head to Millie Mae's Pantry for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea 6-days a week (Tuesday to Sunday). Millie Mae's is all about celebrating local stocking local jams, honey, sauces and olive oil alongisde the menu sourced from local produce. This can all be enjoyed in the garden dining area with a wine, gin, or beer.

Kangaroo Island Spirits

Head in for a gin paddle, blend your own gin, or simply sit back in the garden and enjoy the carefully curated cocktails. KIS have something to offer whether you are sneaking through for a quick stop or looking to settle in for a couple of hours. Onsite you will be able to sample some Flammekueche (pronounced Flamacoosh), or order from the food van available daily.
