Will Clarken is hoping talented filly Out Of Aflica can book a ticket to Queensland and maintain her unbeaten record at Morphettville on Saturday.
Out Of Aflica scored an impressive win on debut and Clarken said a second win would secure enough prizemoney and justify a trip north and tilt at the $2m Magic Millions 2yo Classic on the Gold Coast in January.
The filly was also an acceptor in Melbourne, but Clarken said Adelaide was a more attractive option.
“She’s a short-priced favourite, she also carries the SA bonus (Racing Rewards SA), so the race is worth good money for her again,’’ Clarken said on RadioTAB.
“She was really good first-up.
“She’s never been the best of our two-year-olds at the track, but she’s so professional.
“If she was to go and get the job done, we might take her to Queensland,’’ he said.
Border restrictions meant Beau Rossa will now be prepared for his first-up Brisbane run on Boxing Day from New South Wales.
“My staff couldn’t enter the state so he’s gone to Warwick Farm at Annabel Neasham’s and will be prepared form there,’’ Clarken said.
