BEST BET: BROTHER’S SHADOW (Race 1)
Travis Doudle has a great strike-rate here and this bloke looked a smart horse in his first campaign winning at Gawler and Morphettville where he defeated the smart Karacasu. His two runs back have been OK, he gets in well here after the Ben Price claim and should kick start the day well for punters.
MULTI: Doudle also has GRAFTON AVENUE (R5) and FALLOW (R8). Taking an all-up with the three at around the $9 mark is a worth a ticket.
EACH-WAY PLAY: COMPARDY (Race 3)
Looked good winning a trial here before debuting for Ryan Dawson and has improved in all three runs. Worked to the line behind an impressive Kingson last time, gets some weight relief and can figure.
ONE AT ODDS: HARDASHIAN (Race 7)
Was the widest horse on the turn and made good ground behind Spencer Gulf here last time and jumps from the 1350m to 1750m which should suit. The $34 looks worth a nibble.
