TWO of South Australian racing’s brightest stars will join forces in search of Group 1 glory with Jamie Kah booked to ride Behemoth.
Connections confirmed Kah will take the reins when Behemoth chases a second successive Group 1 Memsie Stakes victory at Caulfield on August 28 after Craig Williams opted to ride Stradbroke Handicap winner Tofane.
“We had the feeling Craig might not be available, but we’re pretty happy to have Jamie on board,’’ trainer David Jolly said.
“We all know the past year Jamie’s had and we’re lucky enough to have secured her to ride the horse.
“He’s come through the Spring Stakes well and it’s play on,’’ he said.
Behemoth is currently a $4 favourite with tab.com.au ahead of Tofane ($4.50) while fellow South Australian and Spring Stakes runner-up Beau Rossa sits on the third line of betting at $9.
