History beckons as Kah chases ton

Sandown is the the stage where star South Australian jockey Jamie Kah is poised to create Victorian racing history today.

Kah needs just one win to eclipse the previous record of 99.5 Melbourne metro winners in a single season set by Brett Prebble back in 1999-2000 and is booked for a busy book of eight rides on the midweek card.

A three-time premiership winner in Adelaide before moving to Melbourne, Kah landed a double at Flemington last weekend to draw within a win of the record and her book of rides has seen tab.com.au mark a $1.10 chance to break the record.

Kah has three rides for Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, as well as rides for some heavy hitters including Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Peter and Paul Snowden, Matt Ellerton and Simon Zahra, Ben and JD Hayes as well as Tony and Calvin McEvoy.

She is $1.75 to win two races, $4 to claim a treble.

Kah’s rides are:

Race 1   Scientific: $3.20

Race 2   Murrumbidgee River: $2.30

Race 3   Write The Score: $2.40

Race 4   So Risque: $3.50

Race 5   Heaven’s Gift: $5.50

Race 6   Invincible Lad: $6.50

Race 7   Part Time Lover: $7.00

Race 8   National Choice: $7.00
