Racing SA welcomes local version of Get On

Racing SA is “thrilled” with the announcement that Racing.com is launching Get On SA tomorrow night.

Billed as a “little sister” of the long-running and popular Get On program, the SA version debuts at 9.45pm (SA time) Thursday.

Racing.Com says the new show will concentrate on SA racing.

“South Australians are extremely parochial and love their racing. That’s why we feel SA racing deserves its own in-depth program,” Racing.com CEO Andrew Catterall said.

“We’re rapt to have assembled a trio of passionate Croweaters to launch the show. Matt Campbell will be in the driver’s seat alongside form guru James Jordan and respected analyst Terry McAuliffe.

“The show will feature your favourite Get On segments but, most importantly, will take a focused look at the main meeting of the weekend and deliver plenty of winners all through a South Australian lens.

“We’re very excited about getting it off the ground, thanks to fantastic support from Racing SA, Sportsbet and Jam TV, and are confident the South Australian audience will love it.”

Racing SA chief executive officer Nick Redin said the program was a welcome addition.

“It’s wonderful that Racing.com has decided to dedicate a weekly program to South Australian racing,” Mr Redin said.

“Get On SA will generate additional exposure for our local racing scene and its industry participants.

“This media development adds to the momentum racing has generated in this state over the past 18 months, via prizemoney increases, extra horses racing and in training, and – most importantly – the creation of more jobs for South Australians.

“The Marshall State Government’s $24 million industry stimulus package, announced in 2019, has been a major driver of this impetus.”

Screening every Thursday night, the original Get On is regarded as a light-hearted but informative show, aimed at educated punters. It previews the best racing from Victoria and around the country, and features a raft of regular segments.

Get On SA will screen on Racing.com (Channel 78) tomorrow, from 9.45pm to 10.15pm, then again on Friday at (7.45am, 10.15am and 10.15pm) and Saturday (7.30am).

From next week Get On SA will air at 7pm Thursdays, due to the conclusion of Thursday night racing in Victoria this week.

Note: All times are Australian Central Standard Time (or SA time).
