TRSA updates COVID-19 protocols

Thoroughbred Racing SA (TRSA) is pleased to advise that a number of COVID-19 protocols will be lifted as the number of active cases continues to reduce throughout the state.

TRSA CEO Nick Redin said: “Given that SA has now reached its seventh day without any new cases, no active cases, and 200 in quarantine, we are looking to ease our protocols.”

“It has been a tough year for all of our participants and we are looking forward to slowly returning to the new normal as safely as we can.”

As was previously the case, patrons, members and owners are not permitted into the restricted racing areas including mounting yard, horse stalls, etc.

The following changes will take effect from start of day Wednesday 9 December 2020:

  • Ceasing temperature tests
  • Attendance allowed at trials, trackwork and jump-outs, with each club providing QR check-in codes
  • Racing industry participants allowed to exit the restricted racing areas and into public spaces to access food/drink/toilets and talk with owners etc.
