Whips and saddles will be swapped for wedges and irons at the annual South Australian Racing Golf Day at Glenelg Golf Club on Monday, November 23.
Some of the state’s leading racing participants will take to the course along with special guests in the annual team event.
Last year superstar SA rider Kerrin McEvoy was joined by Dwayne and Dylan Dunn, Steven Arnold and Shane Scriven for the day.
SA rider Eran Boyd says the Golf Day is one of her favourite days away from the track and she is more than happy to stay away from the golf action.
“I enjoy Golf Day so much because it is a great fun way to help promote and raise money in support of the National Jockeys Trust,’’ Boyd said.
“The trust does incredible work for injured riders and their families, this day is a good way for us to help give back to those who support us riders in a time of need,’’ she said.
It’s a 7am start for breakfast and registration before the golf tees off.
There are a number of opportunities to get involved:
- Gold Sponsorship ($2500) which includes two teams of four golfers, the luncheon, live auction along with hole sponsorship and promotional opportunities.
- Team/Plater packages ($1200, $300pp) which includes breakfast, golf, luncheon and all the entertainment.
- And the luncheon for $100.
